Top Data & AI Security Priorities for 2026

1. Discover and Reduce Data Exposure

3. Secure AI Without Slowing Innovation

AI adoption is changing the security perimeter. Employees are already interacting with Copilot, enterprise AI applications, and public generative AI tools, often using organizational data in their prompts and workflows. Security teams need to know what AI applications are in use, what sensitive information is being shared with them, and which interactions carry real risk. The objective is not to block AI. It is to enable AI with the right data, the right controls, and the right level of trust.

4. Move from Data Alerts to Data Security Operations

More alerts do not automatically create better security. Security and compliance teams often work across separate tools and investigations, making it difficult to see the full picture behind an incident. Connecting signals across data, users, devices, AI, and risk lets organizations move toward risk based prioritization and faster remediation. Instead of asking how many alerts came in, the better question is which data represents the greatest risk right now.
