Large Microsoft Teams Deployment


MDS migrated a large financial organization of over 7000 users to Microsoft Teams.

The Challenge

This client was previously working with MDS on a Microsoft 365 project that included advanced security and a SharePoint migration. During these ongoing projects, the need for a more integrated and seamless collaboration solution became evident. With over 7000 users, the ability to communicate and work together from anywhere was extremely important during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Solution

As a Microsoft Gold Partner who has implemented Microsoft Teams numerous times, MDS recommended this solution as the best choice for the client. With the client already have an existing M365 environment and seamless integration with SPO, the strategy to roll out Microsoft Teams was the most efficient option. 

MDS then guided the customer through our methodology of implementing Teams into an organization. We focused on identity within their M365 groups and external sharing as their workforce (approximately 95%) was transitioning to completely remote. Once these key groups were established, MDS worked on the productivity of the channels and different teams, the Teams calling capabilities, and app integration. Through hands-on remote training, we were able to solidify the solution in their organization, but also give them the knowledge on how to use the new platform efficiently. 

The Result

By implementing Microsoft Teams, we not only helped their employees securely move to a remote workforce but enabled them to be productive and collaborative no matter where they were located. By working hand-in-hand with the client, we could customize the installation and set them up for success with the M365 services. Our end-to-end customer service (despite also being remote) added a level of trust with the client to continue more work with them.
