AN MDS COMPLIANCE SUCCESS STORY
The MDS LATAM team worked to get an international insurance company GDPR compliant.
The Challenge
The client, a reinsurance and insurance company based in the Caribbean, was aware that they needed to comply with GDPR but did not know how to become compliant with the technology vendors and policies they had in place.

The Solution
The client, with over 1,500 employees located throughout North America, the European Union, and the Caribbean met with MDS who had held a GDPR and Compliance event in Bermuda. MDS developed a short and long term strategy to meet GDPR Compliance needs. This included building a data governance structure, security framework, and gap analysis. As part of the gap analysis, MDS did an assessment of the current technology vendors that the client had in place and showed where they fell short. MDS made recommendations to use portions of EMS and M365 to meet the needs of GDPR Compliance, which the Client purchased. MDS implemented Intune, MAM, AIP, Advanced-Data Governance, Windows Defender ATP, ATP for O365, Azure Auditing & Logging, O365 Audit Logs, and others.
The Result
The client was able to be GDPR compliant as well as gearing up for any other compliance in requirements in the future, eliminating the risk of any fines or data privacy violations.
